the little garden that could
What Was Lost, Now is Found

Turns out that Common Ground actually does exist…

and isn’t some sort of mythical, Athenian story passed through the ages. I went to the town hall meeting @ Cine today and it was definitely the jam 360 (i.e. an all-around, cool experience)! Mayoral candidates for the 2010 election (going down THIS SUMMER!) spoke on issues ranging from recycling to living wage. All quite interesting…even saw a guy from school running.

Anyhow, the bottom line is that I actually met with some folks from Common Ground. I spoke with a Johanna Nicol and a Ben Meyer. Apparently they have had a lot of their staff emigrate to the political Mecca that is Washington D.C. For that reason, I will cut them some slack for being so slack with their responses to my emails.

Next plan of action: meet with Common Ground folks and discuss sponsorship so I can begin legitimately taking donations and move forward with the garden. My funds are SUPER low so I can’t yet buy a spade or a shovel. Maybe I should ask somebody If I can borrow something like that?

If you have a shovel or a spade I could use, hit me up @ thencscg@gmail.com.
