So I went to see if I could get some help from Common Ground Athens…

turns out they’ve up and moved!!! Their site claimed they were located @ 157 N. Newton. I went there, and to my surprise, saw some chill dudes smokin’ cigarettes.

Bogus Location

I was not very surprised. The Common Ground Athens site looked rather abandoned anyway. The last post was in May, 2008—it’s 2010, right?! Being “progressive” in Athens is like that: here today, gone tomorrow. Oh well…I guess? No garden work today; had to work my other job. By the end of the week, I will go and talk to the folks @ the Southern Seed Legacy (SSL) and see if they can hook me up with some seeds and such (haha, maybe they can clue me in on the whereabouts of CGA).

If anyone knows where Common Grounds Athens REALLY is, holler at your boi!

Land, land everywhere, but not a bite to eat. This blog is devoted to the attempts of a simple neighborhood gardener trying to grow food in the burgeoning urban sprawl that is Athens, Ga. Hopefully community gardens will catch on like leggings and soon we'll have a feast!

Come stake out a plot and plant something! We have tons of seeds and space and will be digging outdoors on SUNDAYS from 10am till the tiredness settles in.
